i believe that almost 25% of the world’s tea production actually comes out of africa. the biggest consumers of this tea, mainly black, is the uk. so, i’m not sure how you could overlook it.
i also would not say don’t buy certain teas in certain countries. i had two green teas from taiwan last year that were quite good. i would buy a white tea in japan if the producer was skilled. but they mainly do greens.
